Getting in a little practice with my 300mm lens. These photos were taken at man made pond close by where I live. Prior to acquiring a Nikon D7000 I was left to the mercies of much slower focusing piksnappers. Being able to capture shots like these would’ve been a near miracle. That said, even with the better gear I have a hard drive full of ones that got away!
