The American Museum of Natural History is an amazing place. One could spend days exploring the massive displays. Remains of the Day is a tiny snapshot of my visit taken from a display in the Hall of Human History. The title is a play on words around the subject, skeletal remains, and my day there as I had to rush through the remains of the museum before it closed.

Technically speaking, this woodburning is all about texture. A photo doesn’t truly capture all the grooves and contours that are burnt into the pine surface.

About Chris Wulff

I like to make pictures. Sometimes they move across the screen, sometimes they move you. I draw with fire on wood, with my finger on a phone, with a keyboard and fancy filters and sometimes even with a pencil on paper. I use a camera to capture what I see and my imagination to capture what I can't see.
