Whether they move or they stay put, you make them or I come up with something new Uberdoodles is the name I adopted when my freewheeling-whatever-tool-app-or-medium approach to image-making took root. It may sound both silly and fancy, but at the end of the day, what I do is quite simple;
I tell stories with pictures.
I can make them move.
For over 20 years I've been immersed in creating motion graphics and 3D animation. Along the way I've learned my way around DSLR cameras to produce and shoot video, then edit it all together. I love experimenting with new apps and techniques, but After Effects, Cinema 4D and Premiere are the trio most commonly combined to help make things move.
I can make them stop.
I received my first camera at 15 and have carried around one ever since. Initially used as more of a tool to document my travels and take reference shots for illustration, photography became part of my profession in my first job out of college and developed into an obsession as I learned more about how to ‘make’ a picture rather than take one. Most recently I spent the better part of a decade focusing mainly on product and food photography, with a smattering of lifestyle and portrait work.
I can make you hungry.
Food is a massive comfort to me. The only thing that surpasses my appetite is the passion for making pictures, in this case, photographically. I started experimenting with food styling for fun, but it led to gainful employment creating outdoor cooking images for product packaging, websites and social.
I can make it all up.
From my earliest memories I was most content taking pencil to paper and drawing. Throughout my professional life I’ve learned all kinds of tricks and apps to help make the pictures in my head come to life.
I want to hear from you.
